Patrons rave about the generous portion sizes and value for money, particularly the 2 Mains for £16 menu. Huge, fluffy chips paired with hearty dishes leave diners pleased and satisfied.

The friendly staff consistently receive praise for their efficient service and attentive approach, ensuring every visit feels welcoming and enjoyable.

The pub often hosts exciting quiz nights that draw in groups eager to test their trivia knowledge, making it a popular spot for social gatherings.

The venue is dog-friendly, adding a lovely touch for pet owners as the staff often go the extra mile by providing treats for furry companions.

Most Disliked

One common complaint revolves around parking availability. The two-hour free parking limit and cashless payment system can be inconvenient for some visitors, leading to frustration as many end up parking on the street nearby.

Occasionally, service can slow during peak times, particularly during busy dinner hours on weekends, as the pub draws significant crowds and may operate with limited staff.

Some diners have noted that bookings are essential to avoid disappointment, especially during peak dinner times, which can lead to longer waits for seating.

I brought a group here on a Monday. No problems at all, it was very relaxed. We were very impressed with the 2 mains for £16 menu. A good selection and substantial portions. Huge chips that were light and fluffy. I will definitely return and try something from the rest of the menu. The only problem was the parking. 2 hours free and no machine to take cash, phone only. People were parking on the main road opposite.

We had Sunday lunch at the Jolly Farmer yesterday. We had actually booked elsewhere, but they had given our table to someone else! However, I'm glad that happened or we wouldn't have gone to the Jolly Farmer. The staff were polite, efficient and attentive. The food was good and so was the price! Thank you for making our visit so pleasant!

We stopped in here today with our dog for breakfast and a drink, and were not disappointed. The pub is clean, the staff are friendly and the food was very nice and great value for money. They even brought out a sausage in a separate bowl for our dog, which was a lovely touch. We will definitely be visiting again.

Came here for breakfast with a big group and the food was fantastic. Took a little while to arrive but was definitely worth it. Very friendly staff and we came back for the quiz! (Also what an amazing selection of crisps 🤩)

19 of us celebrated a family birthday Saturday evening. The food, service, and staff were amazing. All the food came together and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Thanks to Ash, Karl and the team.

I had fishchips and mushrooms Stilton melts. It was really great. Price and service were also satisfied. 2 for 14£ meals I would strongly recommend.
